Moscow is set to host one of the most significant events in the passenger transport sector: the AutoBusExpo International Bus & Coach Exhibition. As Russia’s premier and only specialized B2B exhibition for buses and passenger transport, this event serves as a critical hub for manufacturers, suppliers, and transport operators. The upcoming 2026 edition is anticipated to be a key gathering for the industry.

Event Dates and Venue

AutoBusExpo is scheduled to take place from 18-21 August 2026 at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in Moscow. The exhibition is part of a larger “AutoCluster” of industry events, running alongside the InterAutoMechanica and ComAutoTrans exhibitions, which together create a comprehensive platform for the automotive and commercial transport industries.

A Comprehensive Showcase of Products

The exhibition is designed to showcase a wide range of vehicles and technologies for passenger transport. Product groups featured at the event include city buses, tourist coaches, minibuses, and electric vehicles. This allows visitors to explore both traditional diesel models and innovative hybrid and electric solutions in one place.

Key Participating Manufacturers and Brands

AutoBusExpo attracts leading manufacturers from Russia and around the world. Previous editions have featured a diverse lineup of participants, including both established and emerging brands. Some of the key companies and brands that have participated include:

  • Russian Manufacturers: SollersPromtekh (with its “Rusliner” bus), and RusBusinessAuto have presented their latest models, including the Sollers SA9 tourist bus and the new generation of HIGER buses.
  • International Brands: Major international names like MAZHIGERAVIORNemanMercedes-Benz, and Yutong have also had a strong presence, showcasing various bus models ranging from tourist coaches to minibuses.

The Unique Test Drive Experience

A distinctive feature of AutoBusExpo is its dynamic test drive program for light commercial vehicles (LCV), which is one of the few such opportunities at industry events. This outdoor activity allows visitors to experience the vehicles firsthand. In the 2025 edition, 786 unique test drives were conducted on 13 different vehicle models. The all-wheel drive pickup Sollers ST8 was particularly popular, with over 100 test drives.

A Forum for Industry Dialogue

Beyond the static displays and test drives, AutoBusExpo is a key venue for professional dialogue and knowledge exchange. The event features a comprehensive business program known as the Trucks&Bus Forum, which attracted 791 delegates in 2025. This forum provides a platform for manufacturers, operators, industry associations, and government bodies to discuss pressing issues in the passenger transport market. Key topics covered include digitalization, safety, and the modernization of bus fleets.

Key Statistics and Impact

The 2025 premiere of AutoBusExpo demonstrated its significance as an industry event. It attracted 4,697 professionals, including a high concentration of decision-makers: 34% were general directors and heads of departments, 9% were commercial transport dealers, and 7% were representatives of government institutions. Major transport companies like Mostransavto were among the visitors, highlighting the exhibition’s role in connecting buyers and sellers.

AutoBusExpo Moscow has established itself as a pivotal event for the bus and passenger transport industry. It provides a unique platform for discovering the latest innovations, conducting business, and discussing the future of transport. The 2026 edition is poised to continue this success, solidifying its position as a “must-attend” event for professionals in the sector.
