RENWEX

Moscow to Host Key International Forum for Green Energy and Electric Transport

As the global energy transition reshapes economies, Russia is steadily advancing its agenda in renewable energy and sustainable technology. A central event driving this progress is the 7th International Exhibition & Forum for Energy Saving, Green Energy and Electric Vehicles – RENWEX 2026, scheduled to take place in Moscow from April 7 to 10, 2026.

Organized by EXPOCENTRE, RENWEX has established itself as Russia’s premier professional platform for the renewable energy sector. The event brings together technology developers, industry manufacturers, government officials, and investors to discuss the future of clean energy.

A New Venue for a Growing Event

For its 2026 edition, RENWEX will be held at the Timiryazev Center, a modern exhibition complex that opened in late 2024. Located just a seven-minute walk from the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya metro station, the venue offers enhanced accessibility and state-of-the-art facilities for exhibitors and visitors alike.

A significant development for 2026 is the exhibition’s co-location with the Russian High-Tech Week (RHTW). This strategic alliance means RENWEX will run alongside major events such as the “Sviaz” telecommunications exhibition, the ICEE consumer electronics show, and the Navitech navigation expo. This synergy is expected to dramatically increase foot traffic, adding approximately 16,000 visitors from IT, telecommunications, manufacturing, and energy sectors to RENWEX’s professional audience.

Scope and Exhibitor Profile

RENWEX 2026 will cover the full spectrum of the renewable energy and electric vehicle industries. The exhibition floor will feature cutting-edge solutions in:

  • Solar Energy: Components, inverters, batteries, and storage systems
  • Wind and Bioenergy: Technologies for wind power, biomass, and biogas
  • Hydropower and Hydrogen: Small-scale hydro and emerging hydrogen solutions
  • Electric Transport & Infrastructure: Electric vehicles, charging stations, and energy storage systems
  • Energy Efficiency: Technologies for industrial energy saving and resource conservation

The 2025 edition of the exhibition attracted 82 participating companies from five countries—including Russia, China, Turkey, Spain, and India—and welcomed nearly 6,000 professional visitors from 22 nations. Building on this momentum, organizers anticipate even broader international participation in 2026.

High-Level Support and Strategic Importance

RENWEX operates under the distinguished patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, with support from the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

The event aligns closely with Russia’s energy strategy through 2035, which emphasizes technological transfer, localization of foreign manufacturing, and development of domestic renewable energy capabilities. For international companies, RENWEX offers a gateway to the Russian market, facilitating partnerships and opportunities for local production.

The RENWEX Forum: Intellectual Core of the Event

Beyond the exhibition floor, the RENWEX Forum serves as the event’s intellectual hub. The forum features strategic sessions, panel discussions, and roundtables addressing the industry’s most pressing topics:

  • Sustainable energy development and energy security
  • Electric mobility and charging infrastructure expansion
  • Technology localization and manufacturing in Russia
  • Micro-generation and renewable energy for remote regions

The 2025 forum hosted over 90 experts and 125 speakers, with more than 2,000 delegates participating. Each day of the 2026 forum will focus on a dedicated theme, including green energy, electric transport, and energy-saving technologies.

Market Context: Russia’s Renewable Push

Russia’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2060 is driving investment in renewables. The country’s solar photovoltaic (PV) market, while still developing, is growing rapidly. In 2023, Russia’s PV installed capacity reached approximately 1.5 GW, with strong growth potential in both utility-scale projects and distributed generation.

Government support mechanisms include power purchase agreements (PPAs), localization requirements, and subsidies for electric vehicle production. Moscow aims to produce 217,000 electric vehicles annually by 2030—representing 10% of total vehicle production—and to deploy 72,000 charging stations nationwide.

For companies operating in solar energy, energy storage, and electric mobility, RENWEX 2026 represents a critical opportunity to engage with Russian and CIS markets, connect with key stakeholders, and contribute to the region’s energy transformation.

RENWEX 2026 will be held April 7–10 at the Timiryazev Center in Moscow. Attendance is free for pre-registered business professionals. For more information, visit the official exhibition website.
